Saumya said while talking to News18, ‘It is very difficult. I have had many a very busy Diwali when I only got one day off. I then took a full day off to go back to work the next day. Sometimes the guards in my building didn’t recognize me, because I would leave before their shift and come back after their shift was over.

She adds, ‘I was working more than 12 hours a day, longer than any normal labor shift. If my mother ever had to be taken to the hospital for an emergency checkup, I had to beg my friends for help.

Soumya said about the acting profession, ‘This profession demands a lot from you and it is difficult. Not only can time be given to the family, but the family also has to cope with life emotionally. There are ups and downs, there are successes and failures. These ups and downs are harsh. In such a situation, the family should be very helpful and understanding.
