Virat Kohli defeated the Pakistanis, scored his second half-century in a row, beating captain Rohit

Dubai: What a wonderful platform the star Indian batsman Virat Kohli has chosen to come in colours. He scored his second consecutive half-century against Pakistan in the Asia Cup. In the Super-4 round of the Asia Cup on Sunday night, he scored 60 runs in 44 balls with the help of four fours and a six. This is King Kohli’s fifth 50+ score against Pakistan in international cricket. With the help of Virat Kohli’s brilliant half-century, India scored 181 runs against Pakistan for seven wickets.

In the match, the opening pair of Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma (28) and Lokesh Rahul (28) gave India a fast start. Apart from these top three batsmen in the batting order, however, other batsmen did not play well. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan was the most successful bowler for Pakistan, taking two wickets for 31 runs. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket for 25 runs while bowling cheaply.

Deciding to bat after losing the toss, India made a quick start by adding 54 runs in 5.1 overs on the strength of captain Rohit Sharma (28) and Lokesh Rahul (28). Rohit hit a four and a six on Naseem Shah (1 wicket for 45 runs) in the first over, while Rahul also hit two sixes in the next over of the fast bowler. In the power play, India scored 62 runs for one wicket.
