Vadodara:There was heavy stone pelting in Panigate, a sensitive area of ​​Vadodara, on the night of Diwali. At around 12:30 in the afternoon, a dispute broke out over firecrackers in the area and stone pelting started between the two parties. Meanwhile, many vehicles were damaged and some vehicles also caught fire. The miscreants threw a petrol bomb at the police who reached the spot. With the street lights off, the police had some difficulty in catching the miscreants. After about an hour and a half, the situation was brought under control. Vadodara Police has arrested 19 people in this entire incident.

CCTV surveillance
The police is probing the whole matter by collecting the CCTV footage. Along with this, information is being sought from other eyewitnesses. A police van was also attacked with a petrol bomb. After this, when DCP Yashpal himself was patrolling in the Jaganian area, a petrol bomb fell at his feet. In which only they survived. Vadodara Police DCP Yashpal Jaganiya said that stone pelting and arson were also done near Muslim Medical Center located in Panigat area.

Third incident in four months
Even before Navratri, the weather in this area had deteriorated. Even before this there was a dispute in this area. Even then the two sides clashed and there was vandalism and stone pelting. Then the police had arrested about 20 people. A Vadodara police officer said that in the initial investigation, the dispute started over the firing of firecrackers. When the dispute escalated and the matter escalated, stone pelting started. The mischievous elements trying to spoil the atmosphere took advantage of this and started arson after doing vandalism. The police officer said that four teams are investigating the incident. Strict action will be taken against those who disturb the peace of the city.
