According to police, the incident took place on Saturday evening. Temple staff spotted a drone camera flying near the Ganesh Temple. After receiving information from the employees, the police personnel posted at the temple outpost arrested the two youths and handed them over to the Mahakal police station. Police say that at first glance, the matter does not seem very serious. Both are being questioned.
Police are currently trying to find out the motive behind the two youths blowing up a camera at the temple. It is to be noted that both the youths are residents of Mumbai. One of the accused, Brijesh Khatri, is a resident of Kandivali and is a manager at Mumbai Bank. The other accused is Ramkishan Yadav, a resident of Nariman Point who works at a catering stall.
It may be recalled that even before Mahashivaratri, the administration had banned drones from flying in the Mahakal temple premises. At the same time, permission was granted to fly with the permission of the administration. Despite this, both were flying drones here from Mumbai. Police are questioning both the accused.
