The two NGOs of the Congress were not banned in this way, all the agencies have collected sufficient evidence

New DelhiTaking a major decision on Sunday, the central government has banned two trusts belonging to the Gandhi family, the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust. The FCRA license of both these trusts was revoked. Congress said that the central government has taken this step to divert people’s attention from the real issues. Along with this, the Bharatiya Janaka Party said that no trust is above the law. Meanwhile, the question arises whether the central government took this decision only in a day or a few hours or the government was already keeping an eye on it. Reports suggest that the central government was already keeping an eye on RGF and RGCT.

Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust NGO. Not only have they been banned as such, but they were already monitored by all government agencies. In the year 2020, an inter-ministerial committee was constituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The people present in the committee were assigned the task of keeping an eye on three trusts belonging to the ‘AAP’ Gandhi family namely Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust and Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust. It is learned that these 3 trusts have allegedly violated PMLA, FCRA and IT Act. Officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, CBI, ED and Income Tax Department were engaged to investigate these trusts.

Apart from Sonia Gandhi, these people were also involved
Apart from Sonia Gandhi, many people were involved in the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. They included MP Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Suman Dubey and Ashok Ganguly. On the other hand, Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust included Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Ashok Ganguly, Banshi Mehta and Deep Joshi. It is said that the Melinda Gates Foundation also used to get a large donation to this NGO.

BJP said- Gandhi family took donation from China
Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda alleged that Rajiv Gandhi Foundation has also received huge amount of money as donation from China. This was the time when Rahul Gandhi was constantly attacking and questioning the Modi government over the Ladakh issue. Launching a major attack on the Congress, Nadda said that the Congress has no right to speak on India’s security after receiving donations from China for the foundation. This is the secret relationship between Congress and China. These people take money from China and use it for education which is not in India’s interest at all. The public wants to know what study was being done with the money.

Among the donors to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is Mehul Choksi
The Bharatiya Janata Party alleged that the Gandhi family had given money to fugitive Mehul Choksi, former Yes Bank CEO Rana Kapoor and the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation through foreign embassies. The BJP also alleged that foreign receipts were also exchanged between RGF and RGCT. This is against the rules of FCRA. According to the FCRA, the central government can ban anyone from taking foreign currency if it feels that it is proving to be a threat to the sovereignty and integrity of India. Let us tell you that despite being a private trust, the office of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation is located in Jawahar Bhavan, which itself is built on government land.
