According to the spokesman, the main focus of Erdogan’s proposed meeting will be on a possible agreement between Ukraine and Russia, after which detailed talks on the deal will continue. Turkey is hoping for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky, after which further talks could take place. Colin added that neither Ukraine nor the world community is likely to agree to recognize Russia’s occupation of Crimea and the Donbass region, which includes Luhansk and Donetsk. This is a serious violation of international law.
