Rishi Sunak becomes the new PM of Britain, the UK government that enslaved us for 200 years, will be run by an Indian

New Delhi: Indian-origin Rishi Sunak has been elected as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK). The UK Conservative Party has elected Rishi Sunak as its leader. On the occasion of Diwali, the name of Rishi Sunak was announced. Rishi will replace Liz Truss, who was prime minister for just 45 days. Sunak will formally become the next Prime Minister after the approval of His Majesty Charles III of the UK. The race for British Prime Minister included Snook, Boris Johnson and Penny Mordont. Johnson withdrew and Penny was unable to muster the necessary support. Sunak was set to become Britain’s first Asian prime minister as soon as he dropped out of the race. Rishi has got tremendous support within the party. With the departure of Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak of Indian origin staked claim to the post of Prime Minister. Both of them had worked hard for the post of PM in the election held a few months ago within the Conservative Party and Rishi came second.

Rishi Sunak has been a favorite of Conservative MPs and also has a good understanding of financial matters. In fact, he has been the finance minister in the past. In the election for the post of Prime Minister, he gave a tough competition to Truss. Reducing the inflationary pressure on the common man became a major agenda in the recent election for the post of Prime Minister in Britain. In such a situation, Liz Truss became the Prime Minister by making tempting promises, but her action plan failed. Now it remains to be seen how Sunak will help the common man get rid of this.

Earlier, Sunak had tweeted, ‘We have big challenges ahead of us. But if we make the right choices, the opportunities are extraordinary. I have a record of work, a clear plan to tackle the biggest problems we face and I will deliver on the promises I made in the 2019 manifesto.

Why did Liz Truss resign?
Liz, who was in power for only 45 days, became the British Prime Minister for the shortest time. Truss became prime minister in early September after promising tax cuts. However, when she came up with the mini-budget on 23 September, the provisions in it caused such a stir in the financial market that Sangharsh had to sack the finance minister. Truss took over as Prime Minister on 6 September and on 23 September his Finance Minister Kwasi Kuartang delivered a mini-budget, which called for a 45 billion tax cut. Taxes have been cut by up to 45% for the rich while nothing special for the poor. This led to volatility in financial markets in the coming weeks.

Why did Liz Truss resign?

The situation worsened so much that the finance minister had to be removed in a hurry. The new finance minister withdrew the budget provisions as soon as he came in. This raised questions on the Trus government that neither it could live up to its election promise nor did it have any action plan. After this, opposition against him intensified within the Conservative Party itself. First the finance minister, then Indian-origin home minister Suella Braverman resigned. He resigned, saying openly that the Prime Minister could not live up to his election promise. This completely destabilized the Trus government.

What is the general election method?
The Conservative Party has won the 2019 general election in Britain. Although the general elections are to be held only by 2025, the opposition Labor Party is demanding mid-term elections. Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer has said a general election is the only way out of this mess.
