Pakistan’s Politics: Imran Khan Strictly Reveals Notice To Rebel MPs Of His Party

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party on Saturday issued a show cause notice to its angry lawmakers over the alleged defection. He was also asked to give an explanation by March 26 on “oversight” and “why not be disqualified from membership of the National Assembly”. In Pakistan, about two dozen lawmakers from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party have taken a rebellious stance after a no-confidence motion was tabled in Parliament against the Imran Khan government.

However, the Imran Khan-led government has accused opposition MPs of trading horses. The rebel MPs are staying at the Sindh House in Islamabad, which is the property of the Sindh government. Sindh is ruled by the Pakistan People’s Party. According to the Dawn newspaper, MP Mohammad Afzal Khan Dhandla was also among those who took notice. Violent protests erupted outside Sindh House on Friday, with large numbers of Imran supporters carrying “lots” and chanting anti-MP slogans.

Asked for a reply from the MPs within seven days
According to reports, the notice said, “Extensive broadcasts and videos on various media platforms have revealed that you have resigned as a Member of Parliament for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and joined the opposition parties. Are done. ‘ A motion of no-confidence against the Prime Minister of Pakistan on March 8, 2022. The notice states that the MPs have not denied the content of such interviews. The MPs have been asked to respond within seven days.
