China befriended Israel J-10
China’s J-10 fighter jet is based on Israeli technology. Israel shut down this multi-million dollar project in 1987. 12 out of 13 ministers in the cabinet of then Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir gave their support to the closure of the project. The cabinet, approving Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres’ proposed budget of $100 million, ordered Israel Aerospace Industries to develop the technology of the future. After which Israel Aerospace Industries also produced a prototype, but the aircraft never went on the serial production line.
Israel had stopped this project under the pressure of America
It is claimed that Israel shut down the IAI Lavi project under pressure from then US President Ronald Reagan. The Reagan administration ordered the Israeli project shut down so the two countries could work together to develop a new aircraft for the future. The US offered that if Israel joined, it would not only share technology, but also offer to help Israel develop research and development infrastructure for defense industries.
How powerful is China’s J-10?
China has the largest number of Chengdu J-10 aircraft. The aviation wings of the Chinese Air Force and Chinese Navy include approximately 488 J-10 variants. Launched in 2005, the J-10 is a single-engine multirole fighter with a delta wing and canard design. The J-10 is fitted with 11 hard points, an active electronically scanned array radar and a 23 mm gun. It is believed to be able to fly at a speed of Mach 2 up to an altitude of 60,000 feet.

The cockpit of the J-10 is fitted with three liquid crystal (LCD) multi-function displays. Apart from this, this aircraft also has a holographic head-up display made in China. All these displays are compatible with advanced helmet mounted sights made in China. According to Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation officials, the J-10 uses a multi-mode fire-control radar designed in China. The aircraft is equipped with a planar array antenna, capable of tracking up to 10 targets simultaneously. The AL-31FN turbofan engine is used to power the J-10.
Rafale is better than J-10 in all respects
