India will be occupied by Britain, everyone will speak Hindi… After seeing BJP’s tweet, Global Times of China added pepper, spewed poison.

Beijing: China gets a kick out of India’s achievements, be it the addition of the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant to the navy or India’s fast-growing economy. A Global Times journalist has spewed venom against India by sharing a photo of a BJP tweet. Earlier, when INS Vikrant joined the Indian Navy, the journalist laughed and tweeted. Now China is upset as India has overtaken Britain to become the world’s fifth largest economy. Now only the US, China, Japan and Germany are ahead of him. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has given this estimate.

BJP’s tweet was also about this, showing India as the 5th largest economy in the world. It reads, ‘Modi government’s transformative changes are helping India achieve its goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy. Overtaking Britain to become the 5th largest economy in the world is the best example of India’s economic growth. But seeing this achievement, China got cold.

The Indian whom China still bows down to today saved the lives of thousands of Chinese soldiers by risking his life.
Global Times spews venom
Hu Shijin, a journalist associated with Global Times, took a dig at his tweet and wrote, ‘India will continue to colonize Britain and it may even ‘Indianise’ Britain. One day Indian accented English will become the most standard English in the world and foreign learners of English will learn Indian accent, lage raho Bharat.’ China’s laughter can be clearly seen in the tweet, which is going through an economic, political, corona and population crisis.

India can overtake Britain
A decade ago, India was the 11th largest economy while Britain was fifth. But with record growth in the Indian economy in the April-June quarter, it has overtaken Britain and slipped to sixth place. India, the world’s fastest growing major economy, may even overtake the UK in the next few years. With India’s population being 20 times that of the UK, its per capita gross domestic product (GDP) is also lower.
