Jaipur: A meeting of the delegates of the Pradesh Congress was held at the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress office to elect the National President of the Congress. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, state in-charge Ajay Maken, state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and all the delegates were present in this meeting. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot proposed to make Rahul Gandhi the National President of Congress. The members of all the delegates of the Pradesh Congress passed this resolution by raising their hands. Under this proposal, the decision to appoint the Congress National President and other posts has been left to the High Command. All members will accept the decision of the High Command.


First meeting with new members
Before the election of the National President of the Congress, many new members have been made in the party. PCC for the first time with these members. After the departure of the Returning Officer, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot proposed that Rahul Gandhi be made the National President, which was passed by all the members with a show of hands. The notification for the election of the Congress National President will be issued on September 22. After this, nominations can be submitted from September 24 to 30. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on October 1. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8. In such a situation, it will be clear on October 8 who will be the national president of the Congress. If more than one nomination is filed, the polls will be held on October 17 and counting of votes will be held on October 19.
