In Jammu, Ghulam Nabi Azad said, “There is no greater Hindu than Mahatma Gandhi, he is the most secular.”

Jammu / New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad felt that Mahatma Gandhi was the ‘greatest Hindu’. “Mahatma Gandhi was the greatest Hindu and secular,” Azad said at a program in Jammu. The issue of Pandits fleeing due to ‘The Kashmir Files’ is under discussion. Without directly mentioning this, Azad said that Pakistan and terrorism were responsible for everything that happened in Jammu and Kashmir. It has affected Hindus, Kashmiri Pandits, Kashmiri Muslims, Dogras. The senior Congress leader said that political parties were inciting 24 hours in the name of religion and politics but the task of civil society was to remain united. “The job of political parties will be to distribute 24 hours a day … in the name of religion … I will not forgive anyone,” Azad said.

‘You Can Live in Love’
“The job of civil society is to give direction,” Azad said in Jammu. But we can do this with love. Can’t we today give our views to each other but get together in marriage, death and life? Do we go to each other’s houses? ‘

BJP and Congress are fighting over migration
The exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 is being debated across the country. The BJP and the Congress are playing a game of accusations. The Congress alleges that the BJP had a role in removing then elected Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and appointing Jagmohan, whom the Congress explicitly blames for the flight, as Mufti Mohammad Saeed was then Home Minister. In 2015-16, the BJP formed the government in Kashmir. The BJP has alleged that the uprising started in 1989 after allegations of rigging in the 1987 assembly elections and that the JKLF had started targeting the KP.
