Gurukul Education System’s Important Contribution In Personality Development

New Delhi: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu Said ancient on Sunday Gurukul education system It has played an important role in the holistic and all round development of individuals. Naidu wrote this in a Facebook post on Saturday referring to his visit to Dev Sanskriti University in Haridwar. He said that this university is a non-traditional center of higher learning inspired by the vision of the spiritual leader of modern India and social reformer Shri Ram Sharma Acharya.

The Vice President said, “With approximately 1,500 full-time resident students and researchers, the university is adopting a gurukul-like system for community life. He posted on Facebook, “The institute is dedicated to holistic education by combining practical knowledge with spiritual education and provides a comprehensive learning experience to every student.”

The Vice President said that he was aware of the remarkable role played by the ancient Gurukul system in the holistic and all-round development of individuals. Naidu said he was also happy to know that the university and the Gayatri family were using music and folk songs to fight against social evils like racism and gender discrimination and to promote nationalism in the masses.

He said that the university also has its own cowshed which has more than 300 cows of indigenous breed. Swavalamban Kendra manufactures various products related to cows using modern and scientific technology. Naidu said he was confident that such initiatives could provide an alternative source of income to farmers in line with Gandhiji’s vision of rural industries.
