Bikru Kand: Major action against 6 helpful policemen of Vikas Dubey, they will have to work on minimum wages

Kanpur: Two years have passed since UP’s famous Bikru incident, but its memories are still fresh in people’s minds. The government has taken a big action regarding the Bikru issue. Six policemen, including four inspectors and two constables, who helped notorious criminal Vikas Dubey, have been sentenced to minimum pay scale jobs. The departmental investigation of the accused policemen was going on under the supervision of the Additional Commissioner of Police Headquarters After completion of the investigation by the Additional Commissioner of Police Headquarters, the report has been sent to the government.

Dangerous criminal Vikas Dubey along with his accomplices killed eight policemen including the CO on the night of 02 July 2020. After the Bikru incident, UP STF killed 6 miscreants including Vikas Dubey in an encounter. 36 accused are in jail in this case. After the Bikru scandal, the then SO Vinay Tiwari and Inspector KK Sharma were accused of being informers. Both are in jail. Along with this, Vinay Tiwari and Inspector KK Sharma were found guilty in the SIT investigation. Along with this, the Additional Commissioner of Police headquarters was playing the role of four police personnel and two soldiers.

After the Bikru incident, the government SIT. Several police personnel were found guilty in the SIT investigation. In the report, the policemen used to help Vikas Dubey. The SIT in its report had asked to recommend action against such guilty policemen. Under this series, departmental action is being taken against the accused police personnel.

Four policemen and constable declared guilty
Based on the report of the Additional Commissioner of Police, the government has decided to give minimum pay scales to Inspector Azrah Ishrat, Inspector Kunwarpal Singh, Inspector Vishwanath Mishra, Inspector Avnish Kumar Singh, Constable Abhishek Kumar and Constable Rajeev Kumar.

The minimum pay scale is considered a huge punishment
Big action has been taken against the policemen who helped Vikas Dubey. Minimum pay scale means any pay increment or promotion received. It will all be zero. Will have to work again on the first salary. This is being considered as a major punishment of the department.
