Amantullah Khan: Anti-Corruption Bureau raided 5 places including AAP MLA Amantullah Khan’s house, seized Rs 12 lakh cash and weapons

New Delhi: Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday raided five locations, including the house of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan, and recovered Rs 12 lakh and an unlicensed weapon. The ACB is probing alleged irregularities in the recruitment of the Delhi Waqf Board. The ACB had on Thursday issued a notice for questioning to Khan in a two-year-old corruption case.

Okhla MLA Khan was summoned for questioning at 12 noon on Friday in a case registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2020. Delhi Waqf Board Chairman Khan had tweeted about the notice and claimed that he had been summoned as he had set up a new Waqf Board office.

Even after the raid, Amanatullah Khan tweeted and said, ‘I was called to ACB office for questioning and sent to Delhi Police to torture my family from behind. Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, truth never hurts, remember. I have full faith in the constitution and judiciary of this country.

Meanwhile, an official of the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that a raid was conducted on Khan and his other locations on Friday. He said that cash worth Rs 12 lakh, an unlicensed weapon and some cartridges have been recovered from one place.
