7 arrested so far in Udaipur murder case, Gehlot says BJP leaders should clarify their stand on allegations of links with accused

Udaipur: So far, seven accused have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur, Rajasthan last month. But along with the police and NIA probe, politics is also taking place in the case. On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that BJP leaders should clarify their stand on the allegations of links between the murder accused and their party. Citing media reports of alleged links between Riaz Mohammad, the main accused in the murder, Gehlot told reporters here, “Who is the main culprit in the murder case … in what form and at what level does he have links with the BJP?” Everyone knows about it. ‘

So far, seven arrests have been made in connection with the June 28 murder of Taylor Kanhailal in Udaipur. And all are being seriously questioned by the investigating agencies. The seventh arrest was made in the form of Babla (Babla alias Farhad Mohammad Sheikh). It is learned that Babla alias Farhad Mohammad Sheikh had close ties with the main accused Riaz.

The Chief Minister has questioned the pictures of Riaz

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that it was recently reported that the landlord of the rented room where the main culprit lived had lodged a complaint with the police that he (the accused) was harassing him. Gehlot said the landlord had complained, “I don’t know who comes to my (landlord’s) house.” Threaten and do not pay rent. He said that even before the police action against the accused, the BJP leaders called the police station and said that he (the accused) was their worker so he should not be harassed.

Without naming anyone, Gehlot said BJP leaders should respond to the allegations and clarify the situation. It may be mentioned that on the basis of some photos of Riaz, the Congress leaders have claimed that he belongs to the BJP. After the massacre, the Congress held a press conference and raised questions with Leader of the Opposition Gulabchand Kataria over the photo. However, Kataria denied this in a video statement.
